Sex Pistols members sound off on SoCal radio show

They didn't mention the band's verbal flip-off to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but aged Sex Pistols members John Lydon and Steve Jones maintained their punkness Friday, railing against cowardly fans and "allegations" on Jones' radio show.
It was lead singer Lydon's first time as a guest on the guitarist's 2-year-old "Jonesy's Jukebox" show on Los Angeles radio station Indie 103.1.
"We constantly have to fight off allegations, when we've done nothing wrong. When frankly, it's the rest of the world," said Lydon, known as Johnny Rotten in the iconic British '70s punk band.
"We're Sex Pistols, we ain't fake," said Lydon, reminiscent of the band's snarling late bassist, Sid Vicious.
"And we don't care," Jones replied.
After being rejected for the Hall in 2001, the Sex Pistols were picked late last year along with Black Sabbath, Miles Davis, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blondie, with induction ceremonies set for Monday in New York City.
But in a scrawled note posted on its Web site Feb. 24, the group compared the rock hall to "urine in wine," refusing to attend the ceremony.
Lydon described harassing fans, such as those who threw bottles at the band at a Danish music festival, as "the very people we hate the most."
He also panned animal activists and the anti-abortion movement.
Later on, Lydon reminisced about the band's punk heyday, quick break up and 1996 world reunion tour, but said he couldn't do it again, citing stage fright and infighting.
"I miss the Sex Pistols. I miss the lot of you," he said. "But if anybody thinks it's a jolly good wheeze, it's not. It's hard work."
The middle-aged pair's snarky comments and jokes about farting extended to the end of the show.
"Should we fondle each others' Sex Pistols?" Lydon asked Jones.
"It would be my pleasure," Jones rumbled back.
Minutes later, they blasted the Pistols audacious hit "God Save the Queen."
